NKY Pride 2025 kicks off in Covington with diverse events celebrating inclusivity

The city of Covington, Kentucky, is set to host NKY Pride 2025, a weekend-long celebration of inclusivity and diversity. The festivities begin tonight with the NKY Pride Rooftop Drag Show at Braxton Brewing Co., featuring host Molly Mormen and the release of Braxton’s Archive Series: Strawberry Kiwi Lager.

Saturday will see the NKY Pride 2025 Pop-Up Shop offering a variety of Pride gear, including this year’s BLDG-designed t-shirt. Sunday will feature the 16th Annual NKY Pride Festival & Parade under the theme "Y’all Means All!" culminating in Goebel Park. The Official NKY Pride After Party will take place at Coppin’s at Hotel Covington with Brooklyn Steele-Tate and Sarah Jessica Darker as emcees.

For music enthusiasts, Guess That Song: 2010s Throwback Trivia Night will be held at Purrfect Day Cat Café, promising a competitive yet fun atmosphere with prizes for top performers.

Young anglers can participate in Covington Parks & Recreation’s annual Youth Fishing Derby on Saturday at Prisoners Lake in Devou Park. Prizes will be awarded for various categories such as “longest fish” and “most fish caught.”

Art lovers can attend Kool Kat in The Spotlight: A Shakespearean Masterpiece painting class at Purple Paisley, Local Artisan Shop on Saturday.

The Kenton County Public Library is hosting Heroes, Myths and Legends: Summer Reading Quest Kickoff at its Covington Branch for an evening of royal entertainment and activities.

Que4Care: Supporting Those with ALS fundraiser culminates on Saturday with a BBQ Street Party hosted by Smoke Justis. The event aims to raise $70k for local individuals living with ALS.

Live music performances are scheduled throughout the weekend across various venues including Smoke Justis, Strasse Haus, Juniper’s, Galaxie, Madison Live, Madison Theater, and The Village Theater.

Additional events include wine tastings at Crafts & Vines and several happy hours benefiting local causes like Chair Force 1 Foundation and Operation Ramp It Up.
