Hazel Ruth Skaggs Funeral Arrangements Announced

Hazel Ruth Skaggs, 73, of Elsmere, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2025, at her residence. Born on February 21, 1952, to the late James and Hazel Stull, Hazel was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, remembered for her zest for life and love for simple pleasures.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing bingo, and cooking her famous hot wings that were always a hit. Hazel was known for her generous spirit, willingness to help others, and her strong opinions. Her caring nature and lively personality endeared her to those closest to her.

Hazel is preceded in death by her parents, son John Michael Cummins, and siblings Charlotte, Sunny, Charlie, Edith, Nellie, and Sara. She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Ralph Skaggs, Sr., children Bobby, Kenny, Gina, Darlene, Billy, Donna, and Doris, siblings Bill, Henry, Ethel, Mildred, and Jenny, as well as grandchildren, great-grandchildren, special friends, and many loved ones.

A visitation is scheduled for Thursday, March 13, 2025, from 1:00 PM until the Funeral Service at 3:00 PM at Serenity Funeral Care in Covington, KY. Hazel will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
