How did students from Holmes High School perform on the English portion of the ACT in 2022-23 school year?

At Holmes High School, students achieved a college readiness rate of 19% on the English portion of the ACT for the 2022-23 school year, according to the Kentucky Department of Education.

On average, students scored 14.1 in English during the 2022-23 school year, compared to 12.8 in the previous year.

English proficiency in the school rose 10% compared to the previous school year, when 9% of students were considered ready for post-secondary education.

For comparison, 47% of students across Kentucky met or exceeded ACT benchmarks in English during 2022-23 school year.

Beyond English, 21% of students Holmes High School met the reading college readiness benchmarks in the 2022-23 school year. Additionally, 11% were considered college-ready in math.
