Covington, Ky. – The Covington Parks & Recreation team is facilitating the annual tradition of sending letters to Santa Claus with the return of the North Pole Mailbox. Children in Covington can drop off their letters at City Hall's lobby located at 20 W. Pike St., from now until December 18, between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. It is important for children to include their full name and mailing address to receive a reply from Santa.
In addition to this festive activity, Covington families are invited to attend the "Happy Cov Holidays" event hosted by Parks & Rec. This free holiday party will take place on Friday, December 13, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., in the City Hall Commission Chambers at the same address.
The event promises an evening filled with activities for children including meeting Santa, enjoying hot chocolate and snacks, listening to holiday stories, playing games, and participating in a coloring activity. No registration is required for this public event.
"We love putting this event on every year," said Alicia Chappell, Covington Recreational Program Coordinator. "It reminds us of what this season is really about – quality time with family and spreading holiday cheer. It’s a wonderful opportunity to bring people together, celebrate the joy of the season, and meet Santa!"
