Elizabeth Wetzel Director of Special Projects & Inter-Governmental Affairs | City of Covington

COVINGTON, Ky. – The installation of electric conduit for the Covington Central Riverfront development is set to impact drivers and pedestrians near Madison Avenue and Third Street over the next seven weeks.

The project will be executed in six distinct phases, starting today and concluding in the first week of April.

During this period, lanes on Madison and/or Third may be reduced or closed to vehicular traffic. Pedestrian access to sidewalks might also be restricted.

The schedule could change due to weather and other factors.

Residents are advised to pay close attention to construction signage and detours, which will be updated regularly.

The Covington Central Riverfront is a 23-acre site located just west of Madison and north of Fourth. It is being prepared for development into a new mixed-use neighborhood. More details can be found on the CCR webpage.
