Winter storms disrupt Covington trash collection; residents urged to remain patient

This means that areas typically serviced on Thursday will be collected today, while Friday routes will be addressed tomorrow.

Additionally, remnants from a previous storm and snow-covered parked vehicles continue to obstruct access to waste carts in some locations. If your cart wasn't collected while others on your street were, it's likely that Rumpke won't return until the next scheduled collection day. Covington's Solid Waste and Recycling Manager Sheila Fields expressed gratitude for residents' understanding: “We appreciate people’s patience,” she said. Fields noted that communication with Rumpke is ongoing and that drivers are making efforts despite challenging weather conditions.
