Covington residents will have the opportunity to visit the Behringer-Crawford Museum for free this Saturday. The museum is offering complimentary admission on December 21 as part of "Covington City Day," running from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. To gain entry, visitors need to present proof of residency in Covington, such as a driver's license or mail. For those accompanying Covington residents, tickets are available at a reduced rate of $5.
The event features various attractions including 13 animated displays in the Holiday Toy Trains exhibit and a nostalgic "A Window Through Time" display showcasing vintage Christmas décor. Additionally, there is a LEGO Makerspace for interactive play.
The museum's exhibits are located at 1600 Montague Road in Devou Park and include BCM’s 33rd Annual Holiday Toy Trains exhibit with eight O-gauge Lionel model trains and new additions like a miniature roller coaster and cake factory. Visitors can also enjoy an interactive LEGO space by OKILUG (Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana LEGO Users Group) and "A Window Through Time" with antique German ornaments.
A preview of the “White Christmas” exhibit set to return in 2025 is also available, featuring costumes from the classic musical worn by notable cast members including Rosemary Clooney and Bing Crosby.
Other exhibits include “The Road to the Bengals,” which explores the history of Cincinnati's football teams before the establishment of the modern Bengals franchise in 1968.
Additional activities scheduled for "Covington City Day" include a Polar Express Reading & Craft session at 11 a.m., followed by seasonal music performed by Hills of Kentucky Dulcimers from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., both included with admission.
