Covington hosts BLINK festival alongside Halloween-themed events

COVINGTON, Ky. – This weekend, the city will be illuminated as BLINK returns for its fourth year. The event is known as the nation's largest public light and art festival and is expected to draw over 2 million visitors. Attendees can explore more than 80 light, mural, and projection projects throughout Covington.

"BLINK," organizers stated, "brings together a collection of creatives, entrepreneurs, local artists, art enthusiasts, supporters, and you for an unforgettable art experience."

Braxton Brewing Company will enhance the festivities with a traveling Disco Arcade installation. Visitors can enjoy live music and a limited edition Radiant Hibiscus Fruited Kettle Sour while watching the drone show from their rooftop Glow Garden.

In addition to BLINK, several other events are scheduled in Covington this weekend. Creative House of Art & Design will host a Full Moon Fest featuring tarot readings and themed cocktails inspired by the lunar cycle.

On Friday night, UpOver's Halloween costume party promises an evening filled with music and performances. Latonia will hold a family-friendly Halloween Block Party on Saturday at Ritte’s Corner.

Purple Paisley will showcase local artists' work during their open house on Saturday. Featured artists include watercolorist Juanita Mills and fiber artist Dolores Fegan among others.

Live music performances are planned throughout the weekend at various venues including Madison Live and Smoke Justis. Other activities include Thirsty Thursday Bingo at Frosthaus tonight and The Worst Toys In The World art show at Earth to Kentucky on Friday.

The weekend concludes with a Bengals Watch Party at Smoke Justis on Sunday.
